General Strike Friday, October 23, 2009 National Exhibition in Rome, Piazza della Repubblica 10 hours

Open Letter to the workers and employees of the Public Administration

Friday 'October 23 the grassroots unions launched a general strike.

Many of you will argue that the strikes should be made together to be more efficient and achieve some goal.

But on Oct. 9 last year, the Government approved the Decree-Law Brunetta (extortionists what our salary enhancement, and divided the staff into good, bad and nasty, throwing open the doors to dismissal for the 25% of staff that will achieve a negative evaluation for two years) and by CISL, UIL , UGL and independent trade unions have not been raised with respect to this criticism further serious attack, while the CGIL merely some grumbling sterile.

The 2010 budget provides for the renewal of contracts expiring in December 2009 only the holiday allowance to a contract, or 12 € gross from April 2010.

The Government gives money to the banks and run through the tax shelter, a shameful amnesty for tax evaders and falsifying financial statements.

why October 23 is an off chance to defend our rights, our wages and public services.

Do the right thing and take part in the strike of October 23!
